Urgent Appeal

By September 17, 2026Appeal

Ever rising costs and declining support means that A2B has some difficult decisions to make.
Can you help by becoming a regular donor?

Another Life day centres are a lifeline to over 100 vulnerable children and their families in the Elbasan region of Albania. Relentlessly rising costs and falling income are forcing the team at A2B to consider closing one of the centres. Every day, these centres give impoverished, marginalised Roma children four precious hours of educational support, a warm and healthy meal, practical help for their families—and a safe place where they are known, loved and encouraged to flourish.

When families were told one of the centres might close, they were devastated. One mother put into words what is at stake:

“This is a place where I can leave my child knowing that he is safe. It has also given me the opportunity to find part-time work and earn something for my family. If this project closes, we will lose all these good things that we have built together.”

Will you stand with these families today? Your regular gift can help keep the doors open and protect a future that these children and parents have worked so hard to build.

It costs just £2.33 per child, per day to provide four hours of loving, high-quality support—including food, education and practical family care. Just £1,400 a month sustains the entire group of 30 children.

Please consider pledging £10, £15 or £20 a month – if you can go higher, please do. The need is urgent.

In the UK, £20 may buy a few coffees or one meal out. In Elbasan, combined with the gifts of other caring donors, it can help keep a child safe, fed, learning and hopeful. It can mean fewer young Roma children begging on the streets, fewer families facing crisis alone, and more children staying in education, earning qualifications and moving towards secure employment – free from having to take desperate decisions or risks. Your gift will not simply keep a programme running—it will help break the cycle of poverty and change lives.
